I came into this project during it's second semester of being worked on. Levels designed, mechanics were discussed, and so I worked alongside one other classmate to have her ideas come to life.
We met frequently and discussed different puzzles she might like so I could get started on the blueprints. We eventually narrowed our ideas down to a Statue Puzzle and Torch Puzzle, which I came up with the blueprints for.
I also added in the SFX and ambient sound for this level using different Audio Volumes. It was really fun to learn about how to manipulate the settings to get the perfect echos for each room.
Torch Puzzle
For the torch puzzle, I created both interactable and non-interactle torches. I got the 3D model from SketchFab (rip) and added the fire VFX and SFX. The player is able to solve it by turning off the specific torches outlined earlier in the level. I also added the sequence for lowering the spikes once the torch puzzle
Statue Puzzle
For the statue puzzle, I created a statue blueprint and a button blueprint. The buttons allow the player to move the statues to preset locations. Interacting with the statue itself allows you to rotate it. The green eyes indicate that the statue is in the correct location. Once all statues are facing the casket in the middle, the rock door opens to the final portion of the level.
